Appearance at The Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia Friday, February 24. 6pm

As part of opening night of Persons of the Crowd: The Contemporary Art of Flânerie, I’ll be improvising sounds with laptop, keyboard, and other instruments at The Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia on Friday, February 24. I’ll be drawing from a large personal collection of sounds and recordings I’ve created and collected over the years as well as playing software synths and samplers that I’ve developed in my favorite program, Max/MSP. The sounds begin at 6pm and end at 9pm. Other artists performing that evening include the stellar vocalist, M’Balia. Be sure to check out the link above to learn more about this massive and interdisciplinary exhibit which includes an aspect of activism through public performance that feels very relevant to our current times.
